Post construction is the installation of a chemical barrier in and around an existing dwelling to help prevent the Termite entry to the dwelling. Although an aqueous solution can be installed to the sub-floor areas, external perimeter pathways and under concrete slabs of the structure to create a continuos barrier it is still not possible to achieve one hundred percent coverage.
Due to this fact it is vital that follow up inspections be carried out on a regular basis. Some chemicals currently available for use are Imidacloprid and Bifenthrin the life span of these chemicals vary from 5 to 10 Years depending on conditions. |
